Barry Moore II, PhD

About Me

Hello! My name is Barry Moore II. I received my Ph.D. in Theoretical Chemistry from the State University of New York at Buffalo with Prof. Jochen Autschbach. I work at the University of Pittsburgh in the Center for Research Computing as a Research Assistant Professor. In my role I do Linux system administration, Python programming and scripting, Slurm accounting and statistics, and education for scientists learning how to program.

In my personal time, I work towards becoming a better programmer. I am currently focused on learning Haskell and Elm.
